Conception Myths
- Conception will happen on the first try
- It takes six to twelve months to fall pregnant
- Stress will interfere with falling pregnant
- If you want to fall pregnant- stop ‘trying’.
Sometimes conception happens easily, sometimes trying to conceive is challenging and heart-wrenching, and sometimes it lands somewhere in-between.
There are many myths about becoming pregnant, which can place extra stress and pressure on women.
I originally wrote about conception myths as part of The Pregnancy Myths Guide. However, conception myths started growing into its’ own book, and is still being completed. This page is here to let you know that it is a work in progress, and will be out one day!
In the meantime, feel free to write to me and tell me about any conception myths that bugged you. This way, we can be sure I’m on the money when this one does come out, and helping women with the conception myths that can cause problems. (You can also be featured in the book if you would like!). Here are some common ones that women have come up against….
These are just some (of many). Feel free to send me a message using the form on this page to let me know which myths you’ve bumped up against :)
